Okay, so I lied.....while laying in bed last night, I decided that it really is about losing weight. However, I am going to try to balance those things in my life to hopefully make the journey easier. My attempt is to use some of my "loves" to help me stay away from the extra food. I'm trying to turn my mindset into the "eat to live, not live to eat."
I walked on the treadmill last night. It sure made for a different day today. I was so much more awake and alert. Got tons of work done because I was able to concentrate. I wasn't just thinking about what I was going to eat and when. I also started keeping track of my calories on calorieking.com. If you haven't seen that program, I would suggest you take a look. It's so helpful in counting not only calories, but also fat grams, sodium, carbohydrates.....anything that you may be having trouble with. It's helpful for those that are diabetic because they can keep track of sugars. I love it because it has just about any kind of food you could ever dream of in it's database, but you can always add those items they don't have. You can also add your favorite recipes to figure out what calories they may hold. So far, it seems to be a success for me if I start the morning by putting everything in that I eat for the day. It allows for planning. Isn't that what most of life is about, good planning?
I was going to get up this morning and walk again, but got lazy. So, as punishment to myself, I did my son's chores of unloading/loading the dishwasher and taking out the trash. Augh! That'll teach me! So, I'm going to cut it short for now, so that I can get in a walk, shower, and finish the book I'm reading. Balance. Enjoyment!
bye for now......think of all the great possibilites for you! kimsue
